The project involves creating a new entrance to the zoo, designed to be a symbolic structure that integrates existing and new programs. This building is intended to harmonize with its environment, incorporating the use of topography and innovative façade designs reflective of the park's natural setting. The concept of metamorphosis, which signifies transformation, underpins this project. In zoology, metamorphosis refers to the developmental process where animals undergo significant changes in form, such as alterations in layers and patterns.
Architecturally and programmatically, the project aims to organize key points of interest and effectively address them strategically. There are three primary design areas: the aquarium, the technology center, and the bio-dome for exotic species. Additional amenities complement each of these zones to ensure an enriching visitor experience. Furthermore, each area is designed to engage visitors with educational content, emphasizing the importance of animals and their ecosystems.
